Tennis Ladder Information

Registration Info

• Cost – $105 to be collected separately from UTR via Zelle or Venmo. $10 event registration fee collected by UTR.
• Season length: 9 weeks
• optional postseason UTR playoff tournament on 8/12 & 8/14
• Prizes – winner & runner-up in each divisions
• Awards -Sportsmanship & Most Improved 
• Shirt – complimentary Player’s Edge Tennis Ladder shirt
• 3 divisions based on UTR – UTR 1-3, UTR 3.01-5, UTR 5.01-7

UTR Registration: Tennis Ladder Registration

Tennis Ladder description –  players will be placed on the rungs of a ladder (position 1, 2 ,3, etc).  Lower position players can challenge higher position players up to 5 spots, if a player in the lower position wins, then he/she will swap positions with higher position players.  Matches will be played on Friday or Sunday at SDJA by confirming with the organizer. Players can contact each other to play off-site on another day as an option. Players in group A & B will be positioned on the ladder initially based on UTR. Although initially players will be paired for matches, players are expected to contact each other to set up challenges and report the scores to the organizer within 24 hours from match completion. A minimum of 8 matches should be played by season’s end to be eligible for playoffs participation.

Match Format – All matches must be best 2/3 full sets with a ten-point tiebreaker for the third set and no-ad scoring (regular scoring can be used if both players are in agreement. If both players agree due to time restraint, a Fast 4 format with tiebreak (1st to 7 by margin of 2) at 4-4.with a ten-point tiebreaker for the third set and no-ad scoring can also be used.
