About Us

Players Edge Tennis Program was created in August of 2001 by former ACE Academy coaches Marc Assaraf and Bill Cowan. They took over the former ACE site at the National Tennis Center at York University, and added top coach Dean Coburn to their team. Together they have strived for excellence in the development of Canadian Tennis in a program, which holistically
combines psychological, physical, and technical components, in a game based environment. Since its inception, Players Edge has been running a Tennis Canada designated Tennis Development Centre (TDC), which has achieved Bronze status in the previous two years. This designation has given Players Edge the privilege of being one of the top 20 TDC¹s across Canada, and receiving generous assistance from Tennis Canada. Some of the benefits have included: visits by the Head National Coach, funding, monthly mailings and equipment.
